Strategy Development and Implementation

Consumer credit strategy is a tool which uses decision trees, scorecard results and optimization techniques to help financial institutions to make better decisions from complex data and uncertain situations under uncertainty. Strategies are developed to allocate and deploy resources which target specific customers to optimize financial returns.

CRF strategy teams provide expert consultancy to our clients by leveraging our powerful proprietary strategy software - CDS. CDS software can be used by clients to establish customer segmentation and incorporate advanced data mining analysis including score cards, expert rules and decision trees, etc. Optimized actions can then be tailored to clients¡¯ internal goals for year-end growth and profitability. This optimized decision is then integrated into the client production process for improved results.

 

 

 


 

Credit card management is an example of an optimized decision process. The new accounts application process for credit cards at any bank involves several decision elements, such as:

¡¤What kind of card should be issued to the applicant, gold, silver or regular ?
¡¤What is the appropriate amount of credit to issue ?
¡¤Should the bank even accept the application or should the application be rejected ?

CDS decisioning software can be integrated into the underwriting process to make decisions automatically based on the information provided by applicants and credit bureaus.

Decision results are then tracked by bank analysts to determine how CDS automated decisions are performing against business objectives. The tracking results will then be fed back to the strategy develop team for evaluation and then the development of a new challenger strategy. Another CRF product, iPRO, can be used to track reporting capability and analyze results.

In summary, CRF consulting teams use our proprietary products - CDS and iPRO ¨C to deliver to clients the ability to seamlessly implement, track and optimize decision strategies which maximize profitability and meet internal business objectives.
